My question is I have a friend talking about MD685 model CANADA and as I understand the ?85 model (PD685 PD785 -PD=HH / MD685 MD785. -MD=mobile). is the European model and North America model is ?82. (PD682 PD782 / MD682 MD782).
That is correct-- the PD682G - PD782G - MD782G- MD652G are the U'S. versions on these radios.
anything that ends in a 5 is a Euro Spec Radio, anything that ends in an 8 is an Asian market radio
